The special effects are good but the storyline, as usual, is idiotic. The entire Harry Potter franchise is asinine but Rowling got rich writing nonsense and taking ideas from others. Watching grown adults fighting with wands was ridiculous and made me laugh at the absurdity of it all. You couldn't pay me enough to look that silly. What's next, popsicle stick wars? I think this movie set my personal record for eye rolling as I must have rolled my eyes 20 times in exasperation. I don't think my immediate neighbours in the theatre appreciated my constant comments that the movie was stupid, but I could not help it as it seemed to be an involuntary reflex to this moronic movie.

If you think that the entire Harry Potter franchise is asinine then why in the world did you watch this movie? Other than to be a complete (insert explicit) The movie I admit was nowhere near the calibre of the books but by no means was it idiotic. Though if you think adults playing with wands (magic) is absurd then you must not think to highly of Tolkien, yet I am fairly certain you gave the hobbit a decent review. Don't watch movies you know you won't like and then you won't have to disrupt the movie experience of those around you who enjoy the series.
