Not worth the money. PARENTS: THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN'S MOVIE ANYMORE. The Half Blood Prince was not a suitable for a child. This is even worse. The actors are adults now, the storyline is wholly adult and depicts total darkness in the evil sense. The movie is like the last one in that it is filmed dark as well which is part of why I went to sleep. There is no sunshine and even when filmed outdoors it is dark It is dark, ugly and boring. I fell asleep and wished it would end sooner. Do not take children under 12 to see this terrible movie. It focuses on betrayal, dark magic, mayhem, murder, harmful intentions and more things that your child should not be conditioned to expect in life. There is no lightness, no beauty, no joy... it is an awful movie.

J. K. Rowling has even said herself, many times actually, that the later books/movies are a lot darker and more adult oriented. That doesn't make it an awful movie. Infact it makes the whole series great because it shows an evolution of the characters as they grow up.
It was never intended to be a childrens movie, the whole point is that as the series gets older, so do the people who grew up reading it. Again, never inteded to be a childrens movie.
I did not bring a child to the movie. Just before the movie commenced a woman walked in with a girl that could not have been more than 5 years of age. I knew she would have nightmares for a long, long time and question the common sense of those who bring children to such dark, violent themes.
It is evolution in the world of those caught up in lower consciousness which is, unfortunately, 99.9% of humanity. Need we wonder why the dark exists in our reality when this dark violence is what the public craves and accepts as normal for entertainment?
Y you missed the whole point of the Movies, it's not marketed as a childrens movie, Disney didn't make this movie. Don't expect it to be bright, if you follow the story at all you can see that it's progressivly getting darker, sorry don't give a bad review for your own poor judgement. I'm 21 now, started reading these at 12, as i've grown so have the books it was written superbly and the films have followed superbly.
Really? Definitely not suitable for younger children I grant you that. What made you see the movie if you are so against magic, etc. Surely you would have chosen another movie if you are so against this type of material? Additionally the story is focused on love conquering evil... but I suppose you would only get that piece if you read the books. Watch the second part of this movie next year and you may just get that piece.
Dear child. You missed the point. It is fanasty... not real... and nothing to get your knickers in a knot over. I am as entitled to having a personal opinion as you are. I would say, grow up, but you too young and likely to remain immature if you do not learn to distinguish between fantasy and reality. Good luck.
Grow up and stop defending fantasy. It is not real. Magic does not exist and I very much enjoyed the HP series until this awful movie which is a pure money grabbing production.
