    Frenchman's Creek

This romantic drama from Daphne du Maurier starring the 'Rebecca' star Joan Fontaine almost seems lost in film history. It is a good adventure yarn, but a more persuasive leading man would have helped somehow. Frenchman's Creek is akin to du Maurier's Jamaica Inn which did not have much success compared to Rebecca itself and Hitchcock's The Birds in the 1960's.
