An interesting independent film that, although sometimes hard to watch, keeps the viewer interested throughout. Matt Dillon turns in a strong performance as a character that seems to come out of a Henry Miller novel - only more pathetic and dissolute. Strong supporting cast, especially from Lili Taylor and Marisa Tomei, provide a glimpse into a world of repellant characters.
