    Ésimésac

I really enjoyed this movie about the hardships of small town life in Quebec of long ago where people struggled day by day to make ends meet. It captured very well the feelings and emotions of all the main characters who were a most interesting bunch. It was also a question of dreams in working a community garden on barren land and trying to get the railway to come to town and working like dogs and not getting paid right away. I really liked all the extras on the Blu-ray that explained the background of this film in great detail. During filming there was no cell phone or internet access which really pleased me. The cast members also had already worked together on previous projects.
