If I had to describe this movie in one word it would be "Silly". I found it difficult to like the characters in the movie, the little girl included, and would not have cared a bit if any of them happened to meet an unhappy ending. Whatever happened to the use of cute child actors? The child actors we see nowadays seem to be all these pudgy, annoying, freaky, little adult looking things who have taken way too many acting lessons. The creatures were also ridiculous. 1 out of every 10 five year olds might have found this movie scary but the rest of them would laugh everytime they saw one of the creatures. I kept thinking that a few ferrets were all these people needed to take care of business (Get it? A group of ferrets is called a business) Even a small dog or cat would have made short work of this menace.
