Luckily saw this movie at a premiere. Ok, lets get to the point. You have seen this tory or one like it before. It's a world war II movie that talks about the leadership of one particular individual that eventually saves the lives of a number of jewish people (himself included) during the holocaust. This isn't shindler's list. The cinematography isn't as dramatic for one, instead, Edward Zwick opts for a more action oriented kind of a movie. Daniel Craig is fierce, merciless, relentless in his role and matches it well, however it lacks the emotional impact that you would expect from movies dealing with these kind of topics (The pianist and Schindler's list come to mind) It is certainly a great movie for what it is. However, there are spectacular movies in theaters today (Milk, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Doubt, etc...) one would probably prefer over it if for nothing else than novelty.
