Creed is a generational passing of the torch that provides an aging Balboa purpose and helps him find solace in the loneliness of his life. The storyline is modern and relevant, incorporating present day issues, while introducing the legacy of Apollo Creed. The boxing choreography is well done and far more realistic than the previous Rocky installments. In terms of originality, there isn't much new here; it's still a boxing movie. It's just a fresher take and provides some closure to the Rocky franchise. Thoroughly enjoyable.
