This is one of those movies which could have been a great comedy, but missed. The snips you see on the trailers are basically the only funny bits. It was no where near a comedy (you can get more laughs out of "Erin Brockovich" for instance) I think the film would have been better if it was not catogorised under 'comedy', but rather as a light drama. Aside form the serious lack of humour, the movie was armed with a powerful and important moral - that family should be the most important thing, and that there is no greater love you can find than included in a loving family however big or small. The storyline was original and I have to admit, I had a lump in my throat at one stage."Cheaper by the Dozen" is a warming movie with a good cast: Steve Martin (Parenthood), Bonnie Hunt (Beethoven), Ashton Kutcher (Just Married) Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) and Pipier Perabo (Coyote Ugly) So if your in the mood for a friendly movie studded with a couple of laughs, this film is the movie for you. See it if you liked "Stepmom".
