Cheaper by the Dozen is a great family, 'feel good' movie from 1950. Clifton Webb is the irascible father with Myrna Loy as his 'long-suffering' wife. Jeanne Craine plays the eldest daughter to great effect. I just loved this old fashioned story taking place in an era so removed from us. Though rather simplistic problems arise in the plot, the feature showed how wonderful it all was to be living at a time when a family was a true unit. Do not see the remake with Steve Martin. Nothing beats Clifton Webb.
