A very dissapointing use of half of Hollywood. Estevez attempts to connect a collection of mini-stories (some of them interesting; some of them not), using a VERY weak link. The movie's climax was one of the most sloppy and confusing I have ever witnessed. In the middle of what you might think should be the main action of the film, the Director tries to shoe-horn in a Bobby Kennedy speech. I still haven't talked to one person who has any idea what that speech was about. With so many stories climaxing at the same time, it's unreasonable for the director to expect anyone to block it all out to listen to Kennedy's speech. I'm sure it played well in Estevez's mind, but it was a ridiculous place to use a serious speech. As a last warning, and I hope everyone already knows by now, this movie is NOT about Bobby Kennedy or his assasination.

You clearly didnt understand anything... and sadly the worst movie review I've seen ever..
I don't mean any disrespect but your comments are amusing to say the least. I am old enough to remember the assassination and Bobby Kennedy was shot as he was being escorted through the kitchen and out the back door of a hotel approximately 10 to 15 minutes after having delivered the very speech you referred to. I realize that this is a leap, but just maybe that had something to do with why it was included in the film?
Perhaps you're right, and I don't understand. Then, please, enlighten me. Tell me all you learned from this bad "Love Boat" episode.
I honestly don't mean any disrespect and in rereading my comment it may have been a little condescending, so I apologize. However, I wasn't claiming that this was a great movie, I was merely replying to a very specific question that you were asking about why this particular speech was included in the film.
