    Ben-Hur

The definitive story of the Christ as portrayed in the novel Ben Hur by General Lew Wallace. Epic, mammoth film directed by Wiiliam Wyler and a screenplay by Gore Vidal telling a story, in part, of the friendship of Ben Hur and Massala with homoerotic ideas as seen in the writing of Vidal. The film won 11 Oscars, that would be all of their nominations except for screenwriting which went to the British Film Room at the Top. The horrendous TITANIC eventually won one Oscar more to now be the most Oscared film. Ben Hur is a timeless film that will always be revered.
