The main danger about having a great cast full of big names is that producers end up relying on THEM to generate a quality movie, and the script and direction gets forgotten. While this worked very well with "Ocean's Eleven" (and a little bit less for the sequel), the sauce just doesn't quite mix with "Be Cool". Great actors such as John Travolta and Harvey Keitel end up being sucked up in the sometimes bad, sometimes very bad dialogue, and newcomers like Christina Millian have to work on their screen presence (although no one doubts her musical talent) And believe it or not, it is the common acceptance that The Rock's was by far the best performance in this movie (for some reason, he just fit into the part perfectly) It's really a shame because the movie had potential, I think with a little bit more skilled script writing and dialogue it would have been a lot better. But hey, it's not totally garbage. And it's always cool to see guest appearances here and there from music big shots (Aerosmith, Black Eyed Peas, Sergio Mendes... ) Don't be expecting too much though, there's definitely some quite funny scenes, but this is a rental at best.
