Woody Allen has a history of making self-searching and intraspective films that are more about revealing himself to himself than entertaining the public, but this farcical comedy of his accidental rise to power to rule a third world latin-american country is color. Truly a romp through latin america as it stabs at the historical misunderstandings and blunders that the US and it's southern nieghbors will never live down. Even Howard Cosell has joined the party and it's all out panic as Woody wants/doesn't want to rule the country that could be the next advisary to the US. Very inventive and funny.
