George Sidney's romantic/comedy/musical of 1945 was Oscar Nominated as Best Film of the year which surprised me a fair bit. It's a decent film, but not Best Film Oscar material in my book. Gene Kelly really comes into his own as a dancer with fellow stars Frank Sinatra and golden-voiced Katherine Grayson. The Oscar Nominated Cinematography in gorgeous technicolour is lush and beautiful as shot by Robert Planck and Charles Boyle and the Oscar Nominated Song from the film 'I Fall in Love to Easily' by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn was one of the big hits of 1945. The story of two men for the affections of one girl was probably even corny back then in 1945. Good chance to see the young Dean Stockwell (now 80) who was an enormously popular child star, one who made it as an adult actor.
