Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

I saw the first Anchor Man and loved it. This was a much anticipated sequel. I saw this movie and can say it easily ranks as one of the top 5 WORST movies I've ever seen. Abysmal. Brutal. 1 hour and 59 minutes of my life lost forever. It started out similar to the first, but nowhere near as funny. Then midway through it's like the writers died and the actors made it up as they went along (and did a poor job at that) and it hurtled into a horrid painful oblivion. I generally don't write movie reviews unless I really like the movie and urge people to see it (a movie like The Book Thief for example, superb; or 12 Years a Slave) but this I had to write about this one to say….. RUN!!! I will say I went with my sons and 3 nephews, ages 12 to 23. The young teenagers liked it, thought it was funny but hated the ending. So perhaps I am biased, maybe there was a glimpse of humour that bypassed my conscious self, but I see a lot of movies and this was simply……crap.
