Harrison Ford had been typcast in this film to coincide with Clear and Present Danger, The Devil's Own and many more. I think that he has a secret desire to be a caped crusader and wear the tights that go along with the job. The only job that he has taken that hasn't tried to carry him aloft on a mightier-than-human role was in The Fugative where he is still portrayed as a "desperate man" but at least there he isn't a skinny Shwartzenagger average Joe turned superhero. The bad guy (Raines) is a little over the top and has all the excentricity of a James Bond villian complete with the desire to keep having plastic surgery (his superhero weakness) that ulimately "leads" the police to capture him. That must have been an interesting (and I'm being fascisious) bit of dective work. Way too Marvel-comiclike for my taste but did have good action sequences that seems to validate the time spent eating a $5.00 bowl of popcorn.
