I think the most disappointing part of this movie is that it is misleading in every way. It is marketed and displayed as a gangster movie with action, guns & drug lords waiting for you. Even the title leads you to believe that as does the trailer. The truth is, it's much more of a character piece with Oscar Isaacs doing an incredible job. That doesn't change the fact that this movie misleads it's markets to draw larger crowds and then tells a story of human character and morality. That even in a hard world one can draw a line between succeeding with honor and without. Between being moral and being dishonest and all that comes with it. I admired the work, I admired the acting and storytelling. I cannot admire misleading the public or giving the impression of something that isn't delivered. In truth, everything could have been there. Adding action into this setting would have been pretty obvious and in-line with the story. It's absence is somewhat disconcerting to be honest. Oscar Isaacs will be remembered but the movie will not.
