Life is what it is and throws the good and bad at almost anyone. This would basically be the premise of the movie in shorthand. In longhand one would talk of family problems, divorce, childhood adjustment, making of careers and then going back to scratch with the chaos of having to remix with that former lot of people. The cast is great with Catherine O'Hara. Jane Lynch, Amy Poehler, Jessica Alba and Richard Jenkins. But the film itself is just too much of everything we have seen in a ton of movies before. I'm to gather from this film that dysfunction is a life long state that WILL resurface even after time to work out the mess in one's head. I just don't buy it!
