There are two views that can be fairly valid: one that the belief in a higher power can bring about almost any amount of good, even restoring life from a celestial place one had gone. The other view is the barrage of films which want to proclaim that there is just about anything that can be solved with faith and prayers, with the viewer not buying any of it. A film of this nature might work once in a very long time. My general opinion is that people have their core beliefs and no amount of good works or miracles is going to affect their basic concepts of things of a higher realm.

Wanted to add that the family story is fairly mundane, only a minuscule of the movie is taken up by the actual plot. The rest is direct, unfiltered sermonizing that does go on forever. I pray! I'm Catholic yet I don't see the validity of this staunch evangelical movie of faith and prayer that bats you seriously over the head! My 2 stands!
