The first half hour of the movie is completely gripping. You are thrown into the rural streets of Belfast and into a political climate of turmoil, anger and defiance over government. However, from that point on it develops as a typical movie would as the lost soldier finds his way through the city being hunted by it. Whatever the case, not going further into the political backdrop of all this was probably a mistake as it could have transformed this war action movie into something better and more unique. Good performances nonetheless.
