21 is a good movie, and is worth seeing. It certainly ranks up there with other card shark movies like the excellent Rounders. The cast is very good, and the story is certainly very interesting. Although you have a feeling how certain things will turn out, it still manages to entertain you. However, it does drag on in parts. I think that's the challenge with any 2-hour movie... to avoid the slower parts that lull you. Kevin Spacey does a great job as the professor, and Laurence Fishburne is excellent as one of the last "human" eyes in the sky. The rest of the cast is also good. So it's a good movie, especially if you like card and gambling movies. AND if you want to see another movie with a very similar storyline, rent "The Last Casino" and you will not regret it. In many ways, although much smaller budget and with lesser known actors, The Last Casino is much better!
