I LOVED it! And for the ppl who say it was too sappy, there was too much of a "love story" going on, it was boring, too much talking... Well you know what, that's what made this movie great! That is the STORY of Spiderman! For ppl who have never seen or read the comics, this IS Spiderman's life! It's not just about Spiderman fighting crime, it's about the kid behind the mask and how his life has changed because he is now Spiderman. And in this movie they gave us, the viewer, a glimpse of what Peter Parker has to go through every day of his life. We saw how much he sacrifices for those he loves and then goes out every night or even during the day to save the lives of ppl he barely knows. I thought it was a great movie and portrayed the story of Spiderman beautifully. If U want non stop action with one dimmensional characters that are NOTHING but CGI puppets for a crappy story. Go see Riddrick.

I think that the new spiderman movie was the bomb. It was better than the cartoon made movies. I think that it would be hard to make another as good!!!

It was a first class spidey movie. Has anyone that complained about this movie ever read the comic book. Spider-man is about how he juggles his school, work, love life, family/friends and be spider-man at the same time. Without MJ, aunt May, Harry and even the funny punch lines it wouldn't be true to spider-man the comic book. True spidey fans should make it a must see summer movie, and for the others wait for a Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This movie was great, best super hero movie to date. [...]. this is a superhero movie, you won't get a deep story or shakespearean (sp? ) acting. That said, this movie had lots of action, great effects and even a few laughs thrown in, I couldn't have asked for more.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] SPIDER-MAN RULES THE SILVER SCREEAN OMG this movie was Fantastic I would give it a way higher rating than 10 if I could. Everything about this movie is good the special effects acting the sound effects so cool sometimes it shook the theater and ever one in it. I was drawn in so much into this movie I didnt want it to end. Doc Oc was awesome I loved him. It sucked that he had to die in the end. If you are only going to see one movie this year its has to be spider man 2. Believe me you havent lived until you have seen this spider man 2.

I loved this movie, I thought the love story was very well played and we could feel how hard it was for Peter Parker to live two lives at once and the sacrifices he had to make for being Spiderman. Only reason I'm not giving this a 10 is because some of the acting was a bit sub-par (MJ, Harry and Aunt May come to mind) but I still loved it. And to the people who are complaining about the story line than you obviously have never read the comics or watched the cartoons because the Parker/MJ story is a pivotal part of Spiderman.

If you have the maturity of a 12 year old and tend to see life very simply, this is a perfect movie for you to see. Otherwise, it will be torture to sit through the whole movie. As for the actors, it is scarry how pathetic they can be. Just rent it on DVD for your kids during a very cold winter day.

MAESTRO LAVENDER'S REVIEW TIME --- First I'll give a review scoring to give you a better grasp of what I thought of this movie! Acting - 15/20 Plot - 12/20 Character Development - 12/20 CG, Costume, Scenary - 15/20 Coolness Factor - 06/10 Lameness(lower better)- 02/10 Total - 6.8/10 I found that the first half of this move was very entertaining, with classic spiderman humor. But after about half way through the movie it lost most of my interest and only grabbed it back at brief moments with a witty line here and there. The movie struck me as more of a Comedy then an Action movie, which isn't bad considering it's spidey whom is always making hillarious comments in the books. Anyway, I found I was either say one of the 3 preceeding comments through out the entire movie, they were " That's Lame ", " OUCH " or " That's Hillarious *shakes head* " In the end, I recomend the movie but don't expect it to be the coolest thing ever and you might get more out of it then I did.

This movie is SO much better than the first. I adored the first Spiderman movie, and I have been waiting for the second to come out for a long time... I half expected it to be a horrible sequel like sequels usually turn out to be, but in fact, this movie is so independent from the other film and it is doubley fantastic!!!

Big disappointment. Very few action scenes for a super-hero story. Way too much sappy emotion as well. Aunt May is in the movie way too much, uncle Ben somehow talks to Peter from the dead(? ), and Doc. Ock becomes good at the end. How does an evil super-villian suddenly become good? This movie is a renter at best, don't pay full price!

It was a joy to see Sam Raimi let loose on this film and bring out his own personal style in this film, which was filtered in the first. There are some wonderfully moments of cheese that are so much fun to watch. Evil Dead fans were probably going nuts with all the references in there, I know I was. It embodied a silver age comic book so well. Drama that's a little over the top, cheesy moments, a wicked sense of humour, fantastic action sequences and the idea of the unwilling hero made it the epitome of what it was, a superhero film, up there with the original Batman and Superman flicks. I recommend this to anyone, it is a standard by which the genre should be judged.

Spiderman 2 is the most awesome and amazing movie I have seen this year. It was action packed yet funny and romantic, stuffs that held this movie so together. Sweet movie but I can't agree if it's better than the first, I eman sure more action more better effects but it's the story that really catches me also spider man 2 has way more romance then the first, excpet I love the end for the 2 one but I'm not gonna put it on the review cause it will wreck it for everyone, but ya it is a must see movie, I just can't vote 10 on it.

I used to whatch the cartoon all the time. I didn't think they would give away so much in this film. However it was still a very good movie. The only reason I give it 9 instead of 10 was because I thought the granny's acting was kinda wierd and I still think MJ coulda looked more pretty. Oh and the elevator scene was hilarious :)

All in all, Spiderman 2 was worth going to see. Just to much focus on the love story thing. Could have seen more action also. I must say that it was better than the first installment. It had a much better story line too.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. It certainly was not what I expected. The story was great, SFX were believable. And I didn't hate the villain. The whole time I was hoping that Spiderman would "save" him. The ending totally set up the next Spiderman movie, which iI thought was cheesy. But it gives us a movie to looke forward to in the future.

It's not often that I give movies bad reviews. And, true enough, I've been a Spidey fan for almost all of my life. I thought the first movie was great. Spider-Man 2 just didn't cut it. The special effects were spectacular. However, the soundtrack was too sublime to even comment on, and there was far too much screaming and whooping, not to mention blatant overacting, reminiscent of those early black and white horror films. There was no suspense. Little humour. Much tragedy. And, while the action was good, there wasn't enough of it for me to really call this a pure action flick. Story, or action, or both... but Spider-Man 2 excelled in neither. The story? Well, let's just say I could have slept through it (I almost did) and still give a pretty good plot summary. Predictable. To its credit, though, the film did evoke an emotional response. I'm now quite depressed.

I don't see how it's possible to make a better superhero movie, I really don't. This has it all: wonderful characters, a nice albeit frustrating romance, a wacko villain, enough humour to give Shrek 2 a run for its money, and of course the insane action. There are two scenes here that have got to rank in the top ten action sequences of all time. Spider-Man 2 has JUST the right blend of comic-book corniness and realism of characters to be a perfect superhero movie. The Hulk was too fake and tried to hard to remind us that it was based on a comic, and X-Men 1 and 2 tried too hard to veer away from the comic motif, neglecting to give the heroes and villains costumes. Spider-Man 2 is just right! Wait! One complaint: that S-shaped scar on Tobey Maguire's face was a little distracting. Oh well, can't have everything, can we?

This is the longest one hour movie I have ever seen. Too little thought was put into scene sequencing and too much time on a 'painful to watch' love story. Don't get your popcorn before the movie starts, there is plenty of time to roll about the lobby during the flick.
