This movie surprised me as I really did not care for the first one. (I took my 10 yr. Old son and 13 yr old. ) Dunst did a great job as did the rest of the cast. It wasn't a hokey superheroes movie as I thought it might be, but really developed the characters nicely. Take the movie for what it was meant for, grab some popcorn and... be entertained!

Great is a good discription, but personally I enjoyed the first better. For some reason it felt a little long and repetitive. Maybe I went expecting more than I really saw. The acting is great and of coarse the special effects are good as well but the story needed more work.

A lot of people wrote that "it's not better than the first one" or that "it's predictable". Well I just want to let you know that Peter parker cannot just stay the loser type or... Well skip this part cause I'm gonna tell you the movie he can't just hide to M-J that he is Spierman... And no, we can't put a monster with four faces et 45 feet tall... Of course Spiderman 2 is predictable, on what do you think the movie is based:on comic books, so yes, in spiderman the guy is beaten by a radioactive spider (nowadays it's genetically enhanced) and Yes again in Spidey 2 he is going to tell her friend who he is... Of course, and I'm going to spoil the fun of the #3, he is even going to marry her... It;s in the comic books... And you know what, here is some breaking news, I'm not sure, but, I think that spiderman's secret identity is... Peter parker... amazing huh, I thought it was his aunt. Anyway, now that the predictable part has been taken care of, let me just say that the psychologie of the movie is really deeper than in the first one. And for true Spidey fans who spent their saturday afternoon ready Marvel books of Spiderman and the fantastic 4 and the Avengers (ahhh good old time... ) You will enjoy the movie. I think I might even go see it abother time... And I usually don't do it.

Way better than the first one, not to say the first one wasen't that good but I liked the second one more, the story was a bit better in my opinion, I just hope they mix it up in the next one, sure would like to see Venom or Carnage soon.

Truly disappointing. I absolutely hated the first Spiderman movie. More romance than action yet it goes under as an action genre film. The movie lacked an interesting plot, but looking at other reviews that make the movie seem uplifting made me laugh. My friends spent large amounts of time trying to convince me to watch it. Finally they persuade me to watch Spiderman 2 with them. HA! Just as I thought it was as terrible if not even worst than the first. Who cares about Mary Jane! I wish the script and plot followed more of the original Marvel comic book storyline. If it resembled X-Men that was excellent! They followed the Marvel comic/cartoon version of X-Men which turned out great. There should have added slight details but I still loved it. I am hoping there isn't going to be a third, but... there probably will be.

I have to admit I was quite dissappointed with the second Spider Man. Granted it was better than the first. Although Tobey Mcguire isn't very convincing as being in love with M-J, more of an invatuation and Kirsten Dunst is slightly more convincing however seems like she's more in love with being in love. The effects are nothing to wow at so for this, I'd recommend to watch it at home and save some money. Overall entertaining however a few parts where you roll your eyes a little. Also a little note: try to see this movie at 9:00 when there are no kids around. A 7:30 showing seems was still too early and you have kids talking and making comments throughout the whole movie. Just a friendly tip.

I love this movie!! It's honestly the best superhero movie made. The whole story has more meaning compared to other superhero movies."with great power comes great responsibility" hehe... Compared to the 1st, this one has more comedy, drama and action in it. Spiderman2 gets more detailed with Peter Parker's life, it's so interesting! Even the soundtrack is amazing! Danny Elfman is incredible! It was a GREAT movie! Go see it as much as you can... watch it in imax!

FANTASTIC!!! My councellor at camp said it was corny and cheesy and there was no action, boy was he wrong! This movie was great, lots of action like the train fight between Doc Ock and Spiderman, and when there at the bank throwing money bags at eachother! Last bit of the movie was a bit predictable how she left the wedding so she could be with Spiderman. Its also weird how he reveals himself to the world at the train battle. Non the less great movie lots of ass kicking! Worth the money.

This was really a waste of my most valuable time. The special effects are really bad and the story leaves to be desired. In spiderman 1, the hero's identity could have been revealed many times however it seemed that Peter Parker had too much luck for that to happen. However In this sequel Almost everybody sees the face of the true Spiderman. WHat the hell is that? A hero shoul dbe torn between the desire to live his life and the one of serving others. NOT GET EVERYTHING HE COULD EVER WISH FOR!!!

Man. This is the best movie I've ever seen in my life! Doc Ock's tentacles looked so realistic! I have a admit, a few parts were cheesy but I mean who has ever made a perfect film? But in my point of view, this is a perfect one.

People are saying, no action/not enough action... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What more can you ask for, ass-kicking the whole 2 hours? It has to sit on some kinda of respectable storyline. I was very unimpressed with the First spider-man, but was extremely pleasantly suprised by the sequel. Much better acting, much better/more action, but I feel he was way to superman-ish *Spolier*----I. E when he was holding the wall over mary jane, that was pretty supermanesque, but meh, good movie nonetheless.

Now... to talk about a good sequel is very rare. But this movie does it well, and Alfred Molina did the best Doc Ock that no one else could do. Definitely a must-see a. s. a. p. but the love crap in the movie is kind of unbearable. But it's worth it. And I must say Kirsten Duntz is very good-looking. But her ending scene was a little screwed. Other than that it was a good sequel which says alot. :)

Spiderman 2 was definitely better than the first. Less time was wasted on origins and Toby MacGuire was again quite successful in playing a flawed Peter Parker.

It's so bad it's funny. I checked out the theatre decor, and the reaction of other people because I ran out of popcorn and I was bored. There was the thinnest excuse for a plot. There was no character development. They kept focusing in on KD, like we should wallow in her beauty but she's just not that beautiful. She is charasmatic, but you barely see that here. Probably the best performance was by the Aunt, but her talent was wasted here. And what's up with trying to ellicit pity for superheros? What a shame. The only reason we stayed was because the theatre was air conditioned and my place is not. I won't be wasting my time or money on Spidey 3.

Spiderman's nemesis and the movie's special effects (which are great) are overshadowed here by the relationships and the love in Peter Parker's life - one of a superhero or an "ordinary nerdy college student" - or BOTH! Spiderman's battles with Doc Ock are exciting and the runaway subway had me thinking "FRENCH CONNECTION" - great cinemetogrpahy, but Peter and MJ's love story is still the main theme. The stage has also been set for Spiderman-3.

Wow, what a great movie! I think that it's far more better than the first one. The CGA is superb! They put a lot of effort to blow your mind away! There is a love story and although it can seem cheesy, it sure works for the girls. The only problem I find is that this movie was is G rated. I think it should've been rated 13+. There are quite some violent scenes that are not suitable for young children.

I give this movie a rating of 8, but it's really somewhere between 7 and 8. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm as big a Spidey fan as any one, still watch the original cartoon on late nights, but the second movie didn't have to do much to be better than the first. The first was full of flaws, CGI, writting, acting. Spider-Man 2, however, has done better than the first, in every catergory. The acting has improved greatly, the CGI was near flawless perfection compared to it's predecessor, and the story with dock-oc was surprisingly above par. Molina was a great casting choice, as is J Jonah Jameson. My one draw back is the same thing that killed the first movie. The ending. Far too long and drawn out. They're trying to make a love story out of one that simply isn't. But none the less, if you don't go see this in theaters, I will most likely kick you in the groin.

I think that the movie was very very poor. They made spiderman look like superman. It took forever to get to the point of the movie. But I think my favorite part was THE END (hint hint) I dont get what the fuss over it was. I think scooby-doo is better than spiderman 2.

I'm sorry I couldn't give this a higher rating. I think the actors did a fine job with what they were given. They were just given a crappy, crappy script, overblown emotions (googly eyes between hero and heroine, psychosis for villian, emotionally distraught and conflicted villian-in-waiting), "thank you for flying exposition airlines! " speeches, and in one action sequence, painfully predictable and kinda stupid choices and results (and the CGI went overboard in that scene too, though I praise them for learning from their CGI mistakes in the first film) The budget was way too big, the crowd scenes were ridiculously fabricated (note all the extra girls rushing in on cue, with looks of wonder on their faces! ), and there were gaping tracts that were either not explained or were completely unnecessary. Oh, and I love how the ladies delicately kicked their legs when they were in the clutches of the villian. Spider-Man is a comic book movie, and so you must be willing to suspend your disbelief. However, the producers of this movie banked on your participation in this manner, and converted this account of good-will into their account of hard cash. I felt ripped off and taken advantage of. Mark my words - there will be a third. I hope they choose one and only one writer (fat chance), pay him or her a chunk of change from the extras and CGI budget, and produce a film that doesn't fall with a thud like a set in a sound studio.
