Does this movie belong in a group including "the Godfather" or "Shakespeare in Love"... No. But it certainly is worth seeing.

A classic for the ages. I've seen it about 30 times now, and the jokes are still funny.

I have watched this movie a couple times and each time was the same, I could not stand it, his character he plays is so annoying, but to each his own.

I love that movie! It is like one of the best movies I have ever seen! I could watch that movie over and over and over and never get sick of it. Give me a couch a tv a vcr/dvd player, some popcorn, a blanket, and ofcorse Ferris Bueller's Day Off and I will be set for the next 5 weeks!

By far the most wonderful film to come out from the 80's. The characters have a natural chemistry and the philosophy echoed by each of them is sublime... you cannot ask for more from a movie, action, romance, LAUGHS, and just plain fun... FBDO has and had it all...

I consider this movie my bible. It has shown me the way to not caring about school, having a great time, and most importantly how not to get caught while doing it. I learned to take every precaution and that, " As you can never go to far...". thank you ferris bueller.

My husband, myself and my 6 year old son absolutely adore this movie. Although I was already in my 20's when this movie was released, FBDO had a certain magic and simple joy that I related to then, and continue to enjoy. The characters are memorable and absolutely lovable - it's a classic. Although there's some off color language, I don't mind my son watching this because the movie has such appeal and a wholesome message - enjoy life! BTW, Ben Stein is actually a college professor in real life, and teaches locally in SoCal.

I LOVE this movie sooo much. It came out three years before I was even born but I think it's the greatest thing from the 80s (other than me) ive seen it at least 10 times and cant believe my most of my friends havent heard of it! It's a MUST SEE a 7day rental for like 4 bucks, a lot cheaper than goin to see some talentless poop star in a sappy movie.

A purely fun, entertaining movie whose theme is a philosophical standpoint on life as seen through the eyes of a teenaged Ferris Bueler: Live it to the fullest while get away with as much as you can. The character range from the morose Camron for whom life is a constant burden to Ferris himself, who seems dipped in the waters of serendipity. I could never find anything wrong with this movie, and watched it way too often for what's supposed to be a fluff piece.

I have seen this movie about a dozen times and would sit through it a hundred more. It's a classic of my generation. Ferris' lessons on how to enjoy life are worth learning for anyone.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off was THE hit of the 80's. To watch a young Matthew Broderick, as Ferris, skip school, steal a car and take off with his best friend and girl friend for a day full of fun and frivolity, made him the coolest guy any girl could know. It's even better to watch now and see where everyone has gone.... Jeffrey Jones lately in Sleepy Hollow, Ben Stein with his own game show, Cameron now playing a delightfully sleazy role on Spin City and Matthew fighting off Godzila while learning about Sex in the City with wife Sarah Jessica Parker! Not too shabby, eh? If you haven't seen the movie, rent it and enjoy!!
