I was intrested in this movie, not because of her but because I kept thinking WOW! What a crazy life to have your girlfriend sleep with everyone, and you waiting up for her. The pace was slow, acting not great but still worth a look.

If you are going to see this film because you think you will see nudity and sex (like at least one other reviewer), then don't because that isn't what this film is about. This film is about the person who does this for a living and what they have to do to be what they are. It is about a person, not about sexual positions. Sasha Grey's performance was a little flat and lacking, but I felt that it didn't weigh down the film all that much. A lot of the film and its meaning is left up to audience to interpret.

Pretty good movie and a decent enough story but Sasha Grey's performance was plain awful. She pretty acted the whole movie the same unemotional way and sometimes it felt like she didn't care at all about what the other person was saying. Even when she was supposed to be sad near the end of the movie I didn't believe here. Still even with this obstacle it's still a good movie even if the ending is confusing.

I stuck into this movie after I had seen the brother bloom (which is very good) This movie stars a porn star and other non actors. If you wanna watch a movie where the star of the movie is soo borign and flat that she make the other non actors looks oscar worthy then go see it otherwise its just boring. I think the film itself would of been alot more entertaining if another actress would have been in it.

I read the first review and decided to go see it with two of my girlfriends... within the fist 15-20 minutes of the movie people started to leave... we wanted to leave as well but decided to stay hoping it will get better. The movie only got worst we left after 40 minutes into the movie! It's a HOME MADE MOVIE and I could have done better!!! No story to it what so ever!! Camera is shaking, the image is blury and bad quality... and the story just sucks basicaly no story at alll! Just a waste of 13$!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Being a young male and being somewhat into pornography, I was quite excited to see Sasha Grey in her first mainstream performance. I also thought she was to pretty for pornography anyways so I was happy to see her making a smart career move to get away from the adult film industry. Anyways the movie was horribly written I almost laughed out loud a couple times to how badly written the script was. I expected more nudity considering the fact that she is porn star. I expected a controversial film loaded with sex, drugs, partying and living the fast life because that's what you would expect if a 21 year old call girl would be doing if she made $2000 an hour. But no, it was a movie with boring conversation after boring conversation. 90% of the scenes are filmed in restaurants so all you see is Chelsea (Sasha Grey) stuffing her face all movie long with food? So yes this movie completely lacked imagination and the talk about the recession is BORING if you are losing so much money why hire a $2000 a night hooker? You could probably find a hooker to sleep for you for a month for that price. Also the movie is only an hour and 15 minutes IT FEELS LIKE 3 hours thats how BORING IT IS!!! I was rooting for Sasha but she failed or maybe the director aimed to make a boring film and that is why he is a genius? If you are going to see a film at Du Parc see Surveillance directed by David Lynch's daughter, this movie will not disappoint you.
