Hi! My boys are almost 4, and almost 5, when taking them to the cinema I usually have to remind them to sit quietly, sit still, watch the movie thats what we came here for, but... with this movie they were both little angels, they were sooo... in focus in the movie, it was well worth the outting and a non stressful event, was just wonderful. Thanks once again Walt Disney Pictures, Directors, Writters, and Stars for creating a memory my children will keep a lifetime, two thumbs up. Much satisfied viewers.

A great role model for young girls... she's a businesswoman, holds 2 jobs, isn't looking for a prince, and insists he pulls his weight.

I thought the movie had a lot of good foot tapping jazz music and singing. The overall story was also pretty good too.

Definitely feel it was one of the best recent Disney movies, with traditional animation. As the Little Mermaid is my #1, childhood associations, I thought this one stood up to my classic in both songs and stories. It wasn't overly predictable in that there were a few surprises.

A modern Disney masterpiece. Full of all the Old Disney Magic and laced with subtle moderen nuances. Theres a strong message of be true to yourself thru out. Its about time Disney got back to the Basics after years of Pixar toy story, monster Inc CGI crap. This is the Disney I have been longing for. Good Job!!!

A G rated movie stands for General Audience. These are so named because they are appropriate for all audiences, including children. These are typically squeaky clean and okay for your youngest child. They do not contain sex, references to sex, nudity, crude humor, bad language or references to drug use. These are typically the Disney movies (but not always, so check first) and cartoon-type movies. It should be noted that even some G rated movies will slip in some type of off-the-wall humor, so as to keep adults interested in the movie, as well as kids, so it always best to review any movie before renting it or taking your child to see it in the theater. So, those who think the movie should not have been rated G, well it follows under G rating standards. As a parent and guardian it is your responsibility to research a movie before you take your child to it. It states very clear in any Disney description of the movie to have voodoo and dark magic. And you should know there will always be villians in movies for any age. And be honest is your child going to go home and start studying voodoo and the occult? No. Should you be taking a 3 or 4 year old to the movies anyway? Usually their attention span doesn't last that long, also what about the loud loud music on their little eardrums? And if you do decide to take your young child to the theatres just tell them, 'if there is a scary part you do not have to watch it'. If you are taking your young one to the movies they should have an understanding that they are make believe and they don't have to watch the scary parts. When I was little my parents said I can close my eyes if some parts were too scary. Personally I think parents should be aware of what you are letting your child watch. My niece who is 7, my mother who is in her 50s and I went to the movie and loved it. My niece was 6 when she went to her first movie theatre, I think that is a more ideal age for them to sit through and understand a full length film.

For the most part, good twist on an old story. The characters are likable and fun. However, the plot may be somewhat complicated for much younger viewers (3-6 years old) And in true Disney fashion, a few overdone moments. But our kids loved it and the soundtrack alone was well worth it for any jazz-loving parents.

Took my 4 yr. old grand daughter. Much too scarry for a 4 yr. old. Has alot of dark spiritualism in it and I don't like that. Other than that... good movie. Perhaps for abit older crowd?

WOW! This is probably one of the best Disney movies-ever!!! I went with my parents and they loved it! The bad guy was mean and suprising, but all of the other Disney fairy tales are like that. (For example: Snow White, Sleeping beutey wich I can't spell etc.) THIS MOVIE IS NOT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! Thank you.

This movie was alright. Though, Disney can't seem to match the quality of their classic films such as the lion king or little mermaid. It was better than I thought it would be.

As a family we went to go and see it: girl 5 years, boy 3, newborn 4 months and 2 parents. All I saw was 3 kids with their mouths hanging open, smiling or taping their toes to the tunes. The voodoo was dark, but as others pointed out - watch other G rated movies: Nemo - mother dies, child gets kidnapped; Toy Story - neighbor child is cruel and blows up toys; Sleeping Beauty - Aurora is sentenced to die, and there's a massive dragon; 101 Dalmatians - Cruella kidnaps puppies to make a fur coat; Aladin - Jafar uses black magic to become Sultan... the list is endless. There is no inappropriate language, the younger ones will take what they want from it - nothing more, nothing less. Was admirable of Disney to break the mold of previous Princesses. Both older children loved the movie, and want to go again, in order to try and absorb more!

A great kick back to the old classic animated musicals Disney used to make. The songs are catchy, the animation is beautiful, and the story's message is something that is important for all ages. You can't just sit around wishing on a star, you need to work for your dreams. But also not to work so hard you miss life happening around you. The biggest surprise I had going into the movie is the two characters I though I would not like from the advertisements; Mama Odie and Ray, turned out to be the strongest characters of the movie. I hope this is the beginning of Disney reinvigorating it's traditional animated musicals, because The Princess and The Frog proves they still the knack to make great ones.

Yikes... Not appropriate for young children. References to the satanic world, voodoo, and the like. Mean, mean bad guy. Scary. An educated, older child may be able to watch with adult guidance.

I just got home from seeing this movie with my two kids and husband. We all agree that this movie is not a family movie, and should not be rated G. There is far too much dark content. I would never have exposed my kids to the voodoo and the occult, but this movie did, and I hated it. I can't believe we wasted our money on it. Shame on Disney for making a movie like this. Unbelievable. I will think twice before seeing a Disney movie next time.

It was cute, but let's be honest, the fact that it was being compared to other Disney classics like Aladdin, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast etc. made it out to be a disappointment. This is not as good as the classics, but it is cute, it is fun and it is an improvement to other new Disney movies.

Why does everyone hate this movie? I loved it, and so did my 6 year old little sister. All Disney movies have something scary in it, the evil queen in Snow White, the evil fairy in Sleeping Beauty, in this movie it's voodoo instead of magic. It should be rated G, it was a wonderful movie. A must-see.

Very good movie, funny, and a great ending. I recommend for the whole family. Actually, my friends' dad worked on the colouring of the film. It was funny because at the end, when it says all of the names, it said his, and we all cheered. So I definitely would see it.
