Don't read reviews about this film. Just go without knowing anything about the story or structure and you will have a richer experience.

What a wonderful movie!!! I suppose this is a benefit perfomance of this three wonderful actresses. I never thought that feelings of a human can be so deeply described on a screen. I wish to Meryl, Julianne and Nicole to deserve as much as possible awards for this movie because they deserved it, aren't they? P. S. I hope that Meryl Streep will win her third Oscar!

Wow! The more movie I see of Nicole Kidman the better of an actress I think she is.

What a profound and moving film! I loved Nicole Kidman's portrayal of Virginia Woolf- it made me pick up my well-worn copy of "Mrs. Dalloway" and read it again..

A thought provoking movie, that will leave you with lingering thoughts about your own existance. Kidman has an Oscar in her wake, if I may be so bold. How very fortunate we are to have movies made like "The Hours", to show us how life is right now, and it is meant to be lived.

First off, the book by Michael Cunningham is amazing and deservedly won the Pulitzer. I was wondering how they would adapt it to the screen. Have no fear... the movie is superb. Stephen Daldry did a brilliant job of directing and the cast were all wonderful. Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Meryl Streep - what more could you ask for, and the supporting cast, particularily Ed Harris and Toni Collette are magnificent. The details in the book are so important and draw the three stories together. They are all there, ever-present on screen. I would give this movie a 10 but, I must admit, the soundtrack by Philip Glass was at sometimes too heavy and omni-present for my taste. Oscars for sure... and more than one.

Saw it two days ago and I am still reeling from it. A brilliant, moving, compelling, emotional powerhouse of a film. Kidman, Moore and Streep are all phenomenal and a special notice to Ed Harris. Nicole, in particular, gives one of the most haunting performances I have seen in a long while. Go see this film. It will inspire you..

I totally agree... this is the best thing hollywood has come up with in a long while... virtually every performance is oscar worthy. Truly exceptional.

An extraordinary movie about an extraordinary talent, an extraordinarily common housewife and an extraordinarily modern mature woman.

It was a very well thought out film and story. If you are seeking a change of pace in your movie going nights this would be a good movie to watch because of its artistic and complex story mixes.

By far one of the best movies I've ever seen. So much truth is said in this movie, hard truth. Brillant performance by Moore and Kidman. For anyone that is not utterly happy with every little detail of his/her life, this movie is a pleasure.

This movie is for those who enjoy stories about real people. The characters, and the actors portraying them, leave you mesmorized. The story floats in front of you -- both deep and light at the same time. Absolutely brilliant! I will definitely be reading "Mrs. Dalloway" soon.

Remarksble production; remarkable acting; story line clever in part contrived and unreal.

There are moments when we think that Hollywood has nothing else to say to us and we notice that almost every film is being copied and repeated by another. Then certain movies come along, such as "The Hours" and we believe that everything has meaning once again.
