What a movie! Great performance by Luke. You could actually feel what the caracter was going thru. As for Denzel great directorial debut for Antoiwne Fisher.

OK, Denzel Washington can act circles around most out there, but directing, he is still pretty good. The O.l. problem I had was the fact that it was very slow, and could have benifitted from a faster pace. But overall, it was prett damn good.

It wasn't too bad. I've sat through worse. It was kind of slow in places but the acting by Derek Luke was good and was a good bio of Fisher.

A great movie! It takes its time to tell Antwone's story, the pace is just right. Watching this film is like reading a great novel - it pulls you in and when you emerge you feel enriched, more aware of what makes life worth living - your family, old and young, friends, roots...

The movie touched my heart it made me cry more than once, no matter how many times I may watch this sensational movie, I will never get tired of it. The whole story plot was great and Denzel's Washignton was extraordinary with his fine self. It makes me wanna go like Dangggggggggggg!!! Love you Denzel!!!!!

This is one of the most touching movies I have seen. Plus it's a true story. I wish they would make more movies like this were I'm crying my eyes out because I am heart broke but by the end I'm crying even harder because I'm happy. Yeah I am a guy that's a CRYBABY and proud of it. This is a great movie. SNIFF SNIFF.

The direction of this movie is worth an oscar. Denzel is very good but his character lacked the real military side and he acts a bit more like a teacher than a psychiatrist. But that's ok. Derek Luke is very good. He played his character well. This actor should not be overlooked for this type of movie in the future. Anyway the movie is excellent. I like it because it kept me wondering what would happen next. I was able to feel what the characters felt. It kept me on my toes so to speak. GO SEE IT.

One of the most beautiful movies I've seen for a while. At least you could feel the story of the movie not like other selly movies where there's no story and you gorfat about it right after you exit the theaters door. It's a movie that you'll never forget.

GREAT MOVIE. The best movie I've seen awhile. Derek Luke did an amazing job portraying Fisher and Denzel was his usual, superb. Although the movie was sad in places, it shows that you can have a terrible childhood but still turn out okay in life.

Great movie. I went to see it today with my daughter who is 9 1/2, she loved it also and was kept captived all the way through. It makes you take a step back and reflect on life, children and society in general. I will definitely rent it when it comes out on video.

What a let down by Denzel's acting in this movie!! Rent O.L. maybe! The kid's performance however was outstanding.

Touching movie with great actors, but Denzel's try at directing lacked something for this first one. For one thing, I thought the movie was a bit long and slow-going, the therapy sessions between Antwone and Davenport (D. Washington) could have been greatly reduced to the benefit of flashback images and sequences. That would have accelerated the movie a bit, and we could have focused more on Antwone's main parts of childhood. Other than that, the general movie length and slow pace pass second to a good actors' performance, and a touching story, giving you some good thought about family values.

It took me a while to get into this movie, but once I realized it wasn't a remake of Good Will Hunting, I actually really enjoyed it. Good art, regardless of the medium is about evicting emotion and this is an emotional movie. It runs a little long, and has moments of drag in the story line, but overall I think it is a very good movie. Highly recommended, though not necessarily in the theatre. A solid rental.

TWO THUMBS UP! It was a great movie! I really did like it. I was at home so bored and I thought about looking up a movie, I really made a good choice by going to Antwone Fisher. It was so touchy and funny in the meantime. I really did like it. I can t understand guys who said it's not even worth tuesday's price unless you're funs of crying. It's really weird to say these things when it s'a good realistic story. TWO THUMBS UP!

Great story! It re-enforces what the Bible teaches in that "what Man meant for evil, God uses it for good". The story of Joseph comes to mind. Antwone is a better and stronger person as a result of his determination to rise above the awful things that were done to him in his past. The Lord healed Antwone through the help of a caring doctor and a girlfriend who saw something good in him. However, the Name of Jesus is taken in vain once or twice.

Movie had potential - but it was too long and got really boring in the middle. Denzel Washington should stick to acting.
