I really enjoyed it. Predictable plot but fresh, perky, feel good movie and we need more of that in our lives today!

Reese is so cool! I want her hair and her man. Excellent movie. If you like Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock movies you'll love Sweet Home Alabama!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Cute story, but Witherspoon disappointingly miscast. She plays the bitter, confused southern belle well, but isn't convincing as a sophisticated NY fashion designer (a difficult mix to be sure) The fiance is too, too nice; who could blame her for going back to her husband.

The movie wasn't too bad but I'd wait and rent it. It was a feel good movie but it was very predictable. If you were to bring your boyfriend or husband to this movie I think they would find this movie very boring; not enough action for the guys. Wait and rent it.

I LOVED it!!! Reese Whiterspoon shines! She's such a talented actress! But the whole movie is so sweet (very american type of movie, but still!) The end is kind of predictable, but the actors makes it enjoyable. It's just a warm-up-heart movie! Go see it, Reese is marvelous (like always) and she rocks!!!

A cute and enjoyable movie, which is pretty much what I was expecting. The three lead characters played by Witherspoon, Lucas, and Dempsey, were likeable and very watchable. If those characters hadn't been cast well - ie. In the hands of less charming actors - this would have been just another predictable, ho-hum romantic comedy. The only sore spot in characterization was Bergen. Perhaps this wasn't her fault, as she was written as a one-dimensional, mean-spirited woman. I suppose every movie needs a "bad guy", but I just wish they had more substance. Anyway, it's a nice feel-good movie and does have a beautifully romantic ending that made me sigh.

I must admit that I was dissapointed in this movie. I knew it was going to be a chick flick but this was behond that. It would have been a good made-for-tv movie, not one you spend $12.50 to go and see. I would never recomend taking your husband to this one!!!

I went into the movie expecting so much, and I came out dissapointed. The acting was fine, but the story was way to fluffy and predictable. Besides... I liked the mayor's son, much more. If all you are looking for is romantic fluff go see it... if you actually want to feel any emotion see anything else but this movie.

Yes I saw this movie, it was excellent. Very Cute and funny. Reese Witherspoon is amazing, she's the next Julia Roberts. She was also funny in Legally Blonde...

It was an incredibly cute movie, but very predictable. It reminded me of a Cinderella story, where she almost misses her fairytale prince. All in all, a good movie.

This movie was just so CUTE! The story was sweet and the actors were great! It made me laugh, and even cry a few times too... :) Anyway, if you like movies with a good ending then you'll enjoy this one... at least I think she made the right decision in the end!

I enjoyed the movie, but I think that there are a lot of sterotypical actions in the movie that are not true of the south. The writers should have also done some research because of the locations do not make sense in the movie. Any person who lives in AL will HATE IT!

Definitely a 'sweet' romantic comedy, worth seeing. Reese W. Was perfect for the southern role. It was not as good as I expected, however, an enjoyable movie none the less. If you're looking for a nice soft comedy this is your movie. SWEET is definitely the word for it!!

This is a * pathetically * bad movie. I went to see it because it got good reviews, but the bottom line is that it is: fake, fake, fake. Nothing in this storyline is plausible. The characters are all stereotypical hillbilly hicks or rich pompous aristocrats, there is no romantic chemistry between the two lead characters, and there is no logical reason to believe that they would ever get together under the given circumstances. This movie tries to be cute, sensitive, and comical but is just too transparent. The ending of the film can be predicted about 20 minutes after the movie begins. This is a good date movie for the 13-16 year old age range (who don't have a firm grasp of reality yet anyway) but for the more mature and seasoned movie go-er, it is ridiculously absurd.

A good date movie. Reese has a lot of talent and is enjoyable to watch. Good supporting cast. The plot is perdictable and the script could have used a bit more work but there were some good laughs all around. Rent the video.

Predictable, stereotyped characters -- like a Harlequin romance. Reese Witherspoon deserves a better script and better editing. Great that a Ryan Adams song is on the soundtrack though -- the music is the best part.

Wow! I just scrolled down the list of comments and what variety! I think some people expect too much for $10... anyway personally I went into it expecting it to be mediocre but was pleasantly surprised. It was light (that I expected) , not hilarious but ok... amusing, it kept my interest and if your'e out for a night for fun and relaxation then it's exactly what your looking for! Oh yeah Reese is realy cute in it... as usual.

Reese was good in the movie but it was rather slow. The trailers ruined the movie..

A little too predictable, but good nevertheless. More of a dating movie then a hang around with your friends movie. I would recomend I despite the fact that the comedy was not that funny, and the rmance was a little too sappy.

I was expecting just some cutesy movie, but found Alabama to be fun and enchanting from the very beginning. So many funny lines and scenes, the whole theatre was laughing hysterically. And, no, the plot was not at all predictable. The actors were heart-felt. Great acting, great story. And the men, alone, were worth seeing!!

Very good and refreshing movie. Reese and the guys are hilarious. As per the other comments, the end is predictable, however, its a very good movie for a girl's night out.

Good movie, worth every penny. Reese is adorable, the male characters are gorgeous, the plot (while predictable) is enduring, and the idea of being struck by lightning is terribly romantic. Us girls left the theatre arguing about who was cuter: Jake, Andrew, or Bobby Ray.
