I'm not a Bruce Willis fan so I am a bit biased -- a different take on the doomsday asteroid plot - but predictable - all we need is a bunch of tough guys to save the world - a typical BW film. I did like Deep Impact more - because of the acting - and found the plot/story somewhat more believable.

This is a great movie. Full of excitement and suspense. Definitely worth watching. Go see it!

Scary and sad but amazing too!!

This is my favourite movie. It's a movie who is at the same time funny, dramatic, sad etc... A lot of emotion. I thought it would be boring but O MY GOD this is a piece of art. Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, Billy Bob Thorton, Steve Buscimi, all the team all of them were FAN-TAS-TIC!!! A big BRAVO to Micheal Bay.

This movie is awesome. I may be young but I have watched tons and tons and tons of movies and this is definetly one of my top 15s. The ending is so touching, so dont forget to prepare a pack of tissue paper with you when you watch it.

What an awful movie (I liked Deep Impact much better, maybe I should have Armageddon first, and on the big screen) A waste of a talented cast, due to poor script. An awful portrayal of a romance between Bennifer and a pretty but emotionally vacant Liv Tyler. An annoying Oscar nominated song from a half-decent band. Lots of special effects, but everything else stunk, so I ignored the special effects.

This movie has to live on forever like lord of the rings, gone with the wind, star wars and other big acaemy award winners. It's the best and most drarn out save the world flick yet and we haven't seen disaster flick even close to it yet.

Armageddon is my favourite film of all time it is so cool!!! It is the perfect film comedy, sci fi, love and a thriller its truely a work of art.

My teacher made me watch it... what else can I say?.. haha... either way... good one... it just did not makes sense... an asteroid can't be as big as the size of texas... astronauts can't land on an asteroid... the rocket would be destroied before they do so... besides... we can't get as fast as an asteroid goes... and it will destroy itself before it ever reaches earth... that's if it does... good... happy ending... done.

A must see. When you read the discription of this movie it doesn't sound like much but the movie is great. It's accion, love and family all in one. I've seen this movie hundreds of times and I cry every time.

I've seen so many movies that I can't even count them. Since I was 5-6 years old, my passion was, and still is movies. I have seen movies from all countries and different times; old movies, new ones, everything there is to see. Therefore, this empowers me to give a real critic of this movie. I must say that it impressed me. I red the other comments, and I got dissapointed. People that gave it a low rating, if you read their comments, either have nothing to say (like "Oh please, don't make me puke"-like one said; this is his thoughtfully elaborated opinion about the movie) or others, that if you red their comments, it all comes down to "the american movie...", "america...", "etats-unis...", and therefore the racism makes his way up. They are fogged by the view of americans, and forget that this is a movie critic, not an opinion about USA. It is true, the USA flag is everywhere in the movie, however, that is not important. That doesn't ruin the beauty and art of this movie. I wasnt born here, so nationality for me is not an issue. The nationality of those who made the movie is not important to me, however, the movie is. From a technical point of view, regarding the ideas, the movie conveys that in case of an asteroid, there isnt much we can presently do. The problems we are delt with in a real sittuation, are elabouratly developped. Every character represents the reactions of different groups of people. Emotionally, it's surprising. Your heart goes up and down. You're happy, then sad, then happy, and then sad again. There are tears in your eyes, then you smile. This is one amazing movie, that I would recommend you to see. From all the movies up there, see this one. You Will be impressed. And don't beleive those who are blinded by racism. It doesn't matter who made this movie, it's important how good it is, and how you Will feel after seeing it. Armageddon is one of the best movies ever made...

Real Feel Good Movie.

Bruce Willis makes 2 types of movies, great (12 monkeys, 6th sense, Die Hard) , and lousy (5th element, this) Ridiculous plot, juvenile writing. I'd say this movie targets early teens.

This is the best movie ever... not only the excellent scenarios and special efects but the lesson it leaves. Maybe we just don't appreciate what we have... the case of LivTylor... it's really good the film... and the music is the best ever.

A little bit of everything from laughter to tears, this movie was a big hit after the appollo days with Bruce Willis the strong tough guy to Bruce Willis making sure his daughter's fiance got off the rocket to marry her... what a great movie.

It is a very good film it keeps you in suspense about what comes next, the only thing I didn't like is that Bruce Willis dies at the end, it made me cry! :)

I loved that movie, it almost made me cry. I liked how it wasn't just one bad thing that throws stuff off course, they kept on having something bad happen. The only reason I didn't give it 10/10 is because what happenedd to Owen Wilson, he was my favourite.

The dumb science ruined what could have been an excellent movie for me. Iie., earthlike gravity on an asteroid. Rocks "whoosing" through the vacumn of space. Oil well diggers converted to highly specialized astronauts in a couple of days. Just dopey. Yeah, I know, it's just entertainment - but so were Space Odessey 2001 and Aliens 1-5 and a host of other great Sci-Fi movies that at least made some attempt to conform to the laws of physics. It doesn't cost any more or ruin a story line to do it right. The only thing realistic in the entire movie: as usual, it is the Americans saving the ass of the entire ungrateful, resentful, sorry world. Or do you think Saudi Arabia or Syria or France or maybe Yassir (that's my baby) Arafat could launch their arrogant rear-ends into space in any event?

This is a good movie. I like it, aside from the fact that I like Ben Affleck. The story touched my feelings. I also like Bruce Willis both of them are good actors. So guyz keep up the good work and congratulations!!! =)

I don't know what to say, but the film is worth commenting about, cos it made me cry. It is a very touching film. I would like to see this film again.

This is such an amazing movie. I saw it in 98 and God only knows how many times since. I think Bay and Bruckheimer are cinematic geniuses and they happen to have made all of my fave films (Pearl Harbor, Top Gun, Coyote Ugly...) Not only is this movie a perfect combination of action, comedy and romance but it gets my ten out of ten for two words: Ben Affleck (yum)

I've love this film since I saw, in 1998, I've seen it more than 10 times and I always cry. It's my favourite film, I love it, and I would like to know the name in the film of the Bruce Willies' daughter.

It's really a movie to be watched. The sacrifice of Bruce Willis really shook my heart. The dialogues in the movie were well composed. I vote Bruce as a real hero.

Absolutely wonderful. This movie has a wonderful cast. It had a really great storyline but the ending of the movie was very sad and I couldn't stop crying. I loved it though. The romance was very good. The music was great. I loved everything about it.
