Kieran Culkin's Igby, while distant and sarcastic, had so much heart, that you couldn't help but love him. The best acting I have seen in a long time. Anyone who sees this and says that they don't like it probably can't relate to anything and can't see and understand the symbolize that screams throughout the movie!
