Oh dear. As a Brit, I have to say that nothing is sacred - not even the indestructable James Bond. I have never heard of Lee Tamahori - must be a student of John Woo though. This has Chinese B movie written all over it. Should have renamed this movie and asked Jackie Chan to do it. Spare the 007 die-hards the pain. Slow motion action shots, 007 doing Kung Fu, ridiculous car chases, cheesey one liners that make Schwazenagger look articulate, a vanishing car that was just plain insultingly stupid, awful special effects. Yes the director has made his mark on 007 - although its more of a smudge. We have already sold most of the Great things about Great Britain, now we have sold out on one of our last icons. No suave, spohisticated, intelligent, debonaire JB. As for the plot, utter crap. Halle Berry was a bimbo, and the bad guy looked like he was from the latest Mortal Kombat movie. Brosnan was becoming a brilliant James Bond, why did they do this to him? Watch and weep.
